According to official records most of the rumours were true. Latest Nexus devices is unveiled by Google and it has new Android 5.0 Lollipop Operating System with the latest smartphone being the 6 in Nexus 6.

On official Google Blog Google posted the announcement, saying “We work with hardware partners to build Nexus devices to help push the boundaries of what’s possible. Nexus devices also serve as a reference for the ecosystem as they develop on our newest release.”

 The Nexus 6 was developed with Motorola, as per the rumours and as per Googles promotional material Nexus 6 looks a lot like a large Moto X 2014 edition. As per Google describtion it has a “contoured aluminium frame” and a “6-inch Quad HD display”, for Image/video duties are handled by a 13 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, and for audio there are a dual front-facing stereo speakers. Battery can give you 6 hours of backup after a 15 minute topup, the battery is a 3,220 mAh setup.

Google has now officially confirmed the date for when the world’s first batch will get their hands on Android Lollipop – November 3. The Big G give a note to developers in which Big G said that  it’d probably be a good idea for them to get their applications in order for November 3, as this is when the software will be commercially release to the public aboard the Nexus 9 tablet. 

But google has yet to confirm when the Nexus 6 will be landing. Pre-orders are already open for the Nexus 9 ahead of the now-confirmed November 3 release day, but we know next to nothing about the search giant’s plans for its smartphone counterpart –– both will of course appear in the US first before making their way over to the UK.

As for pricing details it’ll cost $649 in North America for a SIM-free handset. Before tax and VAT in the UK that comes to about £410 so we can expect it to cost a little over £460 in the UK. And in India around 45218 Rs.
